Antonio's grandfathers were considered Murayas. As a youth he observed them dieting and learned how they used plants for shamanism. Antonio didn't start training until later in life, when he experienced a personal tragedy. At this point he utilized the memories he had of his grandfathers, and he entered into the forest to diet. Antonio dieted for 2 years to train in his medicine.
